Last Tuesday's Farmers' Market was a sell out success! The next market is fast approaching and although we plan to make more hummus and Israeli Salad this time, come early to be sure you don't miss out. Also popular last market were Georgia's $5.00 Aromatic Bouquets filled with several different kinds of herbs wonderful for gracing your table and cooking with. See you this Tuesday in the mall parking lot in front of JC Pennys from 3:00 to 6:00pm. "Where have you been? You got me hooked and then you disappeared!" This was one of the best comment from last week's Tuesday Farmers market! Its true we took a break for a vacation to Istanbul for a family wedding and then a hop over to Israel to connect with family and friends. It has been great to re-connect with loyal customers and make new converts at the Tuesday markets. Noam's Table is planning to be at the rest of the market's which will continue til October 8th. Let's hope for beautiful weather, for the rest of the markets and we will see you there. Look for us in our new T-shirts at the Aug. 8th market!

Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish celebration, begins in the evening of Sunday, Dec. 2, and ends in the evening of Monday, Dec.10, in 2018. Known as the Festival of Lights, Hanukkah celebrates the re-dedication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem during the second century B.C. To celebrate the holiday, Jews light one candle of the menorah each evening. The ninth candle — the shamash, or servant candle, is used to light the other eight. Each candle is lit after a special blessings is recited and then there are traditional songs sung afterwards. Menorahs are also often placed in windows to decorate for the season. Spinning tops called dreidels and exchanging gifts are other Hanukkah traditions. But, is it Hanukkah or Chanukah? Either one is fine. In fact, there are more than a dozen variations for spelling the holiday's name in English. The differences come because some sounds in Hebrew just don't match letters in the Latin alphabet. The most common spelling is Hanukkah but both stand for a holiday of lights and love. Its the first of November and the Hummus crew is getting ready for the opening of the Winter Farmers Market this Saturday at the Cheyenne Depot from 10-2. In addition to our delicious hummus, Noam's Table will also be sampling and selling Israeli salad, a blend of finely chopped peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes and red onions with a splash of olive oil, lemon and seasonings. Fresh, simple and healthy. Pair it with our hummus and a wedge of pita and you have a meal! See you at the Market! |
